After you complete the passport application, you will need to get your Canadian Passport photos. Passport Canada has more demanding requirements for the photos. In order not to be rejected by them, you will have to follow the Canadian Passport photos requirements.
- Size and Composition:
- The photos must be 50 mm wide x 70 mm high (2 inches wide x 2 3/4 inches long), which are larger than American Passport photos.
- The photos must show a full front view of the face and top of the shoulders with a neutral facial expression.
- Professional Commercial photographer:
- The photos need to be taken by a professional commercial photographer.
- The back of one of the photos needs to be stamped with the photographers name, and signed by them, and dated.
- Passport photos can be taken by Walmart Photos, Shoppers Photos etc.
- Quality:
- The photos must be clear, sharp, and in focus.
- They must be printed on high-quality photo paper with a continuous-tone and a neutral or white background.
- Expression:
- The expression must be neutral, with both eyes open and clearly visible.
- Mouth closed.
- Head Position:
- The head must be centered and squared to the camera.
- Glasses:
- If you wear glasses, ensure that your eyes are clearly visible, and there is no glare on the glasses.
- Photo:
- The photos must have been taken within the last six months.
- They are originals and not taken from an existing photo
